What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Co-op (Spring 2025 - January start) position at Emerson?
The Maintenance Co-Op will support the development and implementation of key administrative processes related to machine maintenance. This role focuses on creating user-friendly materials that guide operators through essential maintenance activities.

Expand your technical and professional skills in a real-world setting. Emerson co-ops are given meaningful work, support, and mentorship from experienced managers and key business leaders.
In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:
- Assist in creating and organizing the operator maintenance checklist.
- Take and compile photos for maintenance activity guides.
- Support with drafting and updating maintenance documents.
- Print, laminate, and post checklists at the machines.
- Collaborate with supervisors to ensure effective communication and checklist adherence.
- Work with operators and technicians to gather feedback.
- Prepare and organize training materials.
- Help manage digital files and checklist documentation.
- Coordinate meetings and support training sessions.
- Ensure checklist materials are accurate and user-friendly.
- Currently Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in a Technical or Management field
- Ability to work 40 hours a week during the scheduled semester
- Legal Authorization to work in the United States – Sponsorship will not be provided for this role
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Basic understanding of machine maintenance processes is a plus.

Work Schedule
The typical work schedule is 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (with a 30-minute lunch) to mirror the hours of manufacturing operations but can work with the successful candidate to ensure optimal work-life balance.
