What are the responsibilities and job description for the Behavior Specialist Middle School/Counselor position at Emily G. Wetherbee School?
The Emily G. Wetherbee School is seeking a Behavior Specialist/Counselor for the 2024-2025 school year. The ideal candidate possesses a belief that all students are capable of learning. Experience with supporting at risk students is recommended. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Support at risk middle school students through a tier 3 intervention program.
-Providing SEL, counseling, skill building, and consultation with staff.
-Supporting students’ behaviors schoolwide.
-Participating in the Warrior S.T.R.O.N.G. schoolwide positive behavior support protocols
-Establishing and maintaining collaboration in the classroom with the classroom teacher
-Supporting check in and check out sheets and various programs within the school.
