Delegation of Authority: As a Resident Assistant (RA), you are delegated the authority, responsibility, and accountability for carrying out your assigned duties to provide care to the residents and maintain compliance for the State Certified and Licensed Adult Family Homes.
Position Summary: The RA assists older or disabled people who are functionally, physically, and/or socially impaired and need 24-hour oversight. The RA’s role is to assist residents with those activities of daily living that they are unable to perform without help, fostering at all times residents’ independence and freedom of choice.
The RA will cook, clean, care, and document task for individuals who needs assistant. This is a small family like environment that requires a professional person with high integrity. The RA must be a self-starter, self-promoter, organized, multi-task with great communications skills, WE ARE JUST A PHONE CALL AWAY! You must have great leadership skills, and the ability to manage the facility with little oversight. The RA, must be highly responsible, caring, compassionate, takes pride in themselves and providing care for others!
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Provides assistance as needed with:
- Cooking
- Cleaning
- Bathing
- Dressing and undressing
- Transferring / Mobility devices
- Documentation
2. Instrumental Activities of Daily Living: Provides assistance as needed with:
- Housekeeping tasks such as vacuuming, emptying trash, cleaning bathroom, bed making and bed changes
- Laundry
