The Resident Assistant supports our mission and values by providing our residents with personal care, as well as homemaker tasks such as meal service and cleaning.
What will I do as a Resident Assistant?
- Assists with dressing, grooming, personal hygiene, and ambulation to encourage independence, according to resident service plan and established procedures
- Assists with homemaker tasks including laundry, housekeeping, meal preparation and serving
- Planning and conducting therapeutic activities.
- Supervise self-administration or administer medications per physician order.
What is required in the Resident Assistant position?
- Must be 18 years of age
- Current and valid CBRF certification preferred.
- American Heart Association (AHA) First Aid certification within 6 months of hire or within 2 years of your initial CBRF First Aid & Choking certification class. AHA First Aid certification is valid for 2 years and then must be renewed.
- Required to become med delegated upon hire and be able to pass meds.
- Ability to use computers for charting and communication.
- Ability to work independently and make decisions within set guidelines.
- Experience in a resident care position, preferred.
