Shift: 1st Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM, Monday to Friday and second shift 3:30 PM to 12AM
Pay Rate: 17.50/hour
Position Summary:
Emkat Inc. is seeking reliable and hardworking Manufacturing Packers to join our client’s dynamic production team in Phillipston, MA. As a packer, you will be responsible for ensuring products are packed, labeled, and prepared for shipment according to strict quality and safety standards. This is a hands-on role ideal for individuals who enjoy fast-paced work and take pride in delivering quality results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Pack finished goods from the production line into boxes or containers
- Inspect products for quality assurance (damages, defects, or contamination)
- Label, seal, and stack boxes correctly for shipping or storage
- Assemble packaging materials such as boxes, containers, pallets, etc.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of packing stations
- Work efficiently to meet daily and weekly packing quotas
- Follow all safety protocols, procedures, and company policies
- Report any discrepancies or issues to supervisors immediately
- Operate basic warehouse equipment (tape guns, pallet jacks, etc.) if trained
- Collaborate with team members and support overall production goals
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- Previous experience in manufacturing or warehouse preferred but not required
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 40 lbs.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions in English
- Positive attitude and a strong work ethic
- Willingness to work overtime as needed
