Job Summary:
We are seeking reliable and detail-oriented Packers to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The Packer is responsible for preparing finished products for shipment by inspecting, packaging, labeling, and palletizing items according to quality and safety standards. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring customer satisfaction and smooth production flow.
Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect products for defects, damage, or quality issues before packaging.
- Accurately count, weigh, or measure materials before packing.
- Package products using appropriate materials (e.g., boxes, bags, shrink wrap).
- Label packages clearly and correctly with required information (e.g., SKU, lot number).
- Follow company packing procedures and safety protocols.
- Stack and palletize finished packages for storage or shipment.
- Maintain clean and organized workstations.
- Report inventory discrepancies or damaged goods to supervisors.
- Assist in keeping production lines stocked with packing materials.
- Meet daily packing targets and efficiency goals.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to ensure production needs are met.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Prior experience in manufacturing, warehouse, or packing is a plus but not required – we provide training!
- Ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Basic math and reading skills.
- Willingness to comply with safety and quality regulations.
Work Environment:
- Indoor manufacturing or warehouse setting.
- Moderate noise levels and varying temperatures.
- Standing, bending, lifting, and walking required throughout the shift.
