What are the responsibilities and job description for the Visiting Assistant Professor of Chemistry position at Emmanuel College?
The department of Chemistry and Physics at Emmanuel College invites applications for a one-year, full-time, Visiting Assistant Professor position to begin in the Fall of 2025. The applicant should be comfortable teaching undergraduate organic chemistry and / or biochemistry. Visiting faculty teach the equivalent of three courses per semester, which may include labs, use inclusive teaching practices that support a diverse student body, and participate in departmental and college-wide service activities. The visiting faculty will benefit from mentorship and career development in the department. The Department of Chemistry and Physics at Emmanuel College offers an ACS approved degree and is located in the Wilkens Science Center (2009), blocks from the Longwood Medical Area, equipped with excellent facilities and instrumentation. Requirements :
Candidates must have a PhD in chemistry and a commitment to teaching undergraduate students; postdoctoral experience is preferred. Candidates capable of teaching organic chemistry and biochemistry are preferred.
