Position SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Director of Marketing to lead our marketing efforts, strengthen our online presence, and enhance our institutional brand. The ideal candidate will have 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing and website management, along with a strong background in strategic marketing leadership. This role requires a Bible-believing Christian who is actively involved in a local church and meets the professional and spiritual standards expected of biblical higher education leadership.
Key ResponsibilitiesMarketing Strategy & Brand Development- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy to increase enrollment, engagement, and awareness of Emmaus University.
- Oversee the university’s brand identity, ensuring consistency across all communications and platforms.
- Utilize data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve outreach effectiveness.
- Manage and expand the university’s presence on social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.).
- Develop content strategies that engage prospective students and their families, donors, and the broader Christian community.
- Analyze social media metrics and adjust strategies to optimize engagement and conversions.
- Oversee website updates, ensuring clear messaging, user-friendly navigation, and SEO optimization.
- Manage content creation, including blog posts, email campaigns, and digital advertising efforts.
- Collaborate with outsourced web development teams to enhance website functionality and performance.
- Serve as the primary marketing liaison between the university and external media outlets, printers, and event coordinators.
- Develop press releases, promotional materials, and marketing collateral for key university initiatives.
- Oversee internal and external communication strategies to enhance the university’s reputation.
- Partner with the admissions and advancement teams to support student recruitment and “fundraising” campaigns.
- Develop targeted campaigns to engage prospective students, alumni, and donors.
- Lead and mentor a small marketing team, including staff, student workers, or volunteers.
- Work collaboratively with faculty, staff, and administration to align marketing efforts with the university’s mission and strategic goals.
- Stay up to date with higher education marketing trends and best practices.
- A Bible-believing Christian who demonstrates a strong commitment to faith and Christian values.
- Active involvement in a local, Bible-teaching church with a record of faithful service.
- A lifestyle and personal conduct that aligns with the university’s doctrinal and ethical standards.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- 3-5 years of experience in social media marketing, website management, and digital strategy.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven experience developing and executing successful marketing campaigns.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools, content management systems (CMS), and analytics platforms.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience in higher education marketing or nonprofit Christian organizations is a plus.
- Working experience with the Adobe Creative Suite (preferred)
