Summary
The Sales Support Associate is a critical support role that will assist sales representatives with creating and sending sales proposals/contracts, processing sales orders, working closely with project management, and interacting with existing and new customers. This position will also help support the Customer Service Representatives, as needed necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist brokers and sales representatives with completing required paperwork. For example; sample requests, POS requests, New Item Forms, New Vendor Forms, New Customer Set up Forms
Assist customers with order taking, new item forms, and pricing questions.
Provide timely notification to customers, brokers, and sales representatives of published price lists, discontinued items, items changes and shortages.
Monitor product availability for changes, shortages, and availability and compare this the needs of customers and brokers to best accommodate their needs.
Proactively assist brokers and customers after a product shortage with quickly placing orders and receiving of product when product becomes available.
Complete ownership of customer price lists which includes; timely updates for changes, printing, and notifying of customers, brokers, and others.
Perform monthly sales statistics update and mailing to brokers.
Assist sales representatives with statistical reporting.
Assist brokers and customers with orders if issues arise, including; paperwork, facilitating returns, complete deviation reports, and credit authorizations.
Create and maintain customer accounts in JD Edwards.
Support Customer Service when necessary regarding orders and customer pricing.
May be required to work overtime, weekends, and holidays if deemed necessary.
Performs all other duties as assigned.
Report any and all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury.
Complete all required training in a timely manner.
Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA).
Qualifications
Required qualifications, skills, and experience for the job; education background, certifications, relevant work experience, technical skills, and soft skills.
· Prior Customer Service or related field experience preferred
· High School Diploma or GED
· Excellent Communication Skills
· Strong administrative and organizational skills
· General computer proficiency including Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Outlook
· Familiarity in working with an ERP system
· Knowledge of database management and ability to run queries
· Strong problem solving and listening skills
· Great attitude with the ability to work cohesively within a team environment
· Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure
· History of good attendance
· Good organization and problem-solving skills
· Detail-oriented nature
· Ability to work with moderate supervision
