·       Ensures accurate address

·       Required shipment paperwork; shipment data, transportation method, transportation space and shipping charges, bill of ladings

·       Relies on instructions, pre-established guidelines and adheres to practice, policy and procedure of the assigned location to perform the functions of the job

·       Completes shipping reports

·       Ensures all documentation is in order and entered into the appropriate tracking system

·       Efficiently communicate shortage notices and order revisions to involved parties

·       Track and comply with special shipping requirements for orders

·       Tracks the temperature tails (Pimm log tags) on all shipped orders

·       Manage CHEP account(s) as assigned

·       Assist in troubleshooting of the JD Edwards system

·       Order supplies, including templates, from vendors and track inventory stock

·       Attend staff and department meetings

·       Actively participate on EOE Teams that improve workplace safety, reduce waste and improve factory efficiencies

·       Report any and all injuries to your supervisor or manager at the time of injury.

·       May be required to work overtime if deemed necessary with occasional weekend work.

·       Performs all other duties as assigned

·       Complete all required training in a timely manner

·       Adhere to ERU food safety policies and all government food safety and sanitation regulations (ex. FDA, HACCP, GMP, OSHA)

·       High School Diploma or GED

·       Some warehouse or shipping experience desired

·       Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide whole numbers, percentages, fractions, and decimals

·       Basic computer skills including e-mail, word processing, and spreadsheets

·       Good written and verbal communication skills

·       Ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure

·       Good organization and problem-solving skills

·       Detail-oriented nature

·       Ability to work with limited supervision

·       No travel required

The Shipping Coordinator may spend up to 8 hours standing and sitting, bending, twisting, turning, using arms and hands for reaching, lift items weighing up to 50 pounds, may need to climb up and down ladders, will need to be able to see naturally or with correction, to safely perform designated tasks.

The distribution center floor is a busy facility. The Shipping Coordinator will have exposure to a moderate level of constant noise that may make it difficult to concentrate. The plant conditions vary greatly in temperatures from hot and cold with exposure to dust and fumes. The Shipping Coordinator will need to be able to work with food grade chemicals required for proper daily sanitation of all equipment.
