Job Summary:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and results-driven Employee Recruiter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for recruiting and hiring non-skilled caregivers, companions, and home health aides who align with our values and provide exceptional care to our clients. You will work closely with hiring managers to ensure that we meet our staffing needs while maintaining a strong focus on quality, compassion, and professionalism.
Key Responsibilities:
- Source and recruit qualified caregivers, companions, and non-skilled staff using online job platforms (really, social media, etc.), local job fairs, and other recruitment strategies.
- Screen, interview, and assess candidates to determine their qualifications and fit for our agency’s needs and values.
- Coordinate the interview process and collaborate with the hiring team to ensure efficient and thorough hiring decisions.
- Conduct background checks, reference checks, and verify certifications (if applicable) for potential candidates.
- Ensure a smooth and positive onboarding process for new hires, including completing necessary documentation and orientation.
- Track and maintain records of recruitment activity, candidate status, and new hire progress.
- Build relationships with local schools, community organizations, and training programs to develop a strong candidate pipeline.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the non-skilled home health care industry and staffing trends to improve recruitment strategies.
- Provide regular updates to hiring managers and HR team on staffing needs and recruitment status.
- Attend job fairs and community events to increase awareness of the agency and attract potential candidates.
Qualifications:
- Previous recruiting experience, preferably in home health, caregiving, or related fields.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships with candidates and team members.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple recruitment processes simultaneously.
- Ability to identify and recruit candidates who are compassionate, dependable, and aligned with the agency’s mission and values.
- Familiarity with job posting platforms (really, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) and recruitment tools.
- Knowledge of local labor laws and regulations related to employment in the home health industry.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude with a passion for helping others.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in HR or recruitment preferred.
