JOB DESCRIPTION:
- The Instructional Development & Training Specialist I serves as the departmental support partner for new and continuous education, ensuring clinic teams have the necessary workflow knowledge, and support for their operations.
- Development of positive relationships with clinic leadership team is essential to the role.
- Will develop a comprehensive knowledge of departmental workflows within assigned specialties and be able to support new and continuous education and support for specialties workflows and systems.
- In partnership with clinic leadership team, develop and maintains onboarding documents, to support the leaders with consistent and comprehensive education during the onboarding experience for staff and providers.
- Utilizing appropriate resources, create content, maintain materials, and conduct as needed training for applications used within the department.
- Develops in-depth knowledge of standard operating procedures for reference against onboarding documentation and workflow.
- Assists leadership team with development of standard work where appropriate.
- Collaborates with other shared department stakeholders including: Access, Clinic Operations, Patient Financial Services, Patient Experience, and others, to support education efforts, and ensure consistency of communication and training methods.
- Supports assigned specialties as primary super user support for questions, issues and continued training for end user assistance (remote and 1:1).
- Acting as the liaison between departments and central departments.
- Successful completion of the assigned Epic curriculum, and assignment as an Epic super user is required for this role to support the super users and staff within the ambulatory clinic setting.
- Performs other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must have a bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
- Minimum of 2 years of training or education experience required.
- Must be able to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal relationship management skills are required.
- Candidate should be comfortable using a variety of tools to develop and deliver education. (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, PowerPoint, etc.)
