Summary
As the Human Resources Manager at Emory Valley Center, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our workforce and fostering a supportive environment for our employees. You will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including a dedicated team of HR professionals, talent acquisition, training and development, employee relations, HR programs, benefits, performance management, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer HR strategies to ensure they are aligned with the organization's mission.
- Oversee the HR Operations and provide staff supervision and guidance.
- Administer the recruitment process and the worker’s compensation program.
- Develop robust training and development programs.
- Oversee employee benefits and department programs.
- Foster a positive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with employment labor laws and regulations.
- Manage employee relations issues, providing guidance and support to staff.
- Assist with developing employee training programs and orientation sessions.
- Maintain all HR software systems to ensure accurate employee data management.
- Monitor performance management processes to ensure effective employee evaluations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management or related field.
- HR related certification from an endorsed organization (i.e., safety/OSHA 30, benefit/CEBS, or human resources/PHR, CP), or the ability to obtain.
- Minimum of 4 years of relative HR experience, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
- Proven experience in human resources management, preferably within a nonprofit setting.
- Strong knowledge of employment labor laws and regulations.
- Experience with HR software systems; familiarity with Workable and PHS is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with staff at all levels.
- Project management experience is beneficial but not required.
