Job Purpose
The Senior Human Resources Generalist reports to the Head of People and serves as a trusted advisor to all employees while supporting and implementing business strategies and planned initiatives. As the subject matter expert, provide guidance and establish processes for all employee related matters. Responsible for ensuring full alignment in recruitment, compensation, performance management, orientation, onboarding, employee relations, engagement, etc. for two (2) call center officers, and several Welcome Centers and Walk-in Centers across the state of Florida.
The Senior HR Generalist will work with leaders and training managers to support the operational objectives and enhance ongoing needs/continuous improvements and ensure the team has the tools and resources and is engaged to perform duties.
Responsibilities
- Provides support and guidance to management and employees when complex, specialized, and sensitive questions and issues arise, may be required to administer and execute routine tasks in delicate circumstances such as providing reasonable accommodation(s), investigating allegations of wrongdoing, and terminations.
- Advise managers on complex employee relations matters (e.g. up to final written warning or dismissal) and policies (e.g. investigation, discipline and grievance, equal employment opportunities, attendance, and timekeeping).
- Support the goal setting, mid-year review, and end-of-year annual review process by the established due dates.
- Assist in the succession planning process; create development plans, and/or PIPs where appropriate.
- Manages the talent acquisition process, which includes recruitment, interviewing, and hiring of qualified job applicants for all locations including collaborating with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for their job openings.
- Manage job descriptions repository, wage scales, job codes, and classification codes.
- Continuously review recruitment processes and implement improvements to increase the quality of hires and reduce the rate to fill.
- Support developing the employee engagement and retention strategy.
- Analyze trends in compensation and benefits; researches and proposes competitive base and incentive pay / pay for performance programs to ensure the organization attracts and retains top talent.
- Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law.
- Oversee the FMLA, ADA, Worker's Compensation, and OSHA internal process and annual audits.
- May provide support to and/or process bi-weekly payroll when needed, as well as assisting with benefits administration.

Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Human Resources, or Business Administration.
- SHRM-CP or PHR Certification highly desired.
- In lieu of Bachelor's degree, a SHRM-CP or PHR is required.
Experience:
- Multi-state HR experience highly desired.
- Five (5) years of experience in Human Resources.
- Five (5) years of experience in managing multiple human resource disciplines, including compensation, recruitment, performance management, payroll, benefits, compliance and Federal and State employment laws.
- Experience in conducting employee investigations.
- Subject matter expert in handling complex employee relations matters.
- Problem solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational skills required.
- Strong interpersonal, consulting, coaching, group facilitation, and customer service skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various groups.
- Computer literacy required with previous experience in HRIS and HRMS systems preferred.
- Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, customers, regulatory agencies, and financial institutions.
- Ability to present a professional image.
Travel:
- May travel to Boca Raton Florida call center and Welcome Center and Walk-in Centers across the state of Florida as appropriate.
