Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with business partners and HR leaders in supporting the business with complex and specialized administrative tasks.
This position is responsible for supporting the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource functions. This includes the ability to attract, hire, develop, and retain employees in the respective area of responsibility. Carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: hourly recruitment, employment law compliance, onboarding, HRIS, employee relations, training, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.

Position Summary
The Senior Human Resources Generalist position is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with business partners and HR leaders in supporting the business with complex and specialized administrative tasks.
This position is responsible for supporting the administration, coordination, and evaluation of the human resource functions. This includes the ability to attract, hire, develop, and retain employees in the respective area of responsibility. Carrying out responsibilities in the following functional areas: hourly recruitment, employment law compliance, onboarding, HRIS, employee relations, training, affirmative action, and employment law compliance.
Responsibilities
- Partner with leadership to develop effective work environments, drive culture change, and produce working conditions which safely maximize the effective use of human capital that results in maximum productivity, profitability, and job satisfaction
- Act as a resource for employees and management on employee relations issues
- Administer and monitor salary/hourly wage planning and make recommendations within plans
- Coordinate with HR Manager and leadership on the formulation and/or modification of Human Resource policies
- Ensure compliance with all Federal, State and Local programs, as well as the company & business unit programs
- Provide administrative services as necessary to ensure all above duties and functions are performed successfully
- Perform investigations and recommend course of action, as needed
Education
- Bachelor's degree in HR or business-related field or equivalent experience required.
- PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
- 5 years of experience in the HR field as a generalist or administrator role
- Bilingual (Spanish Preferred)
- Highly proficient in MS Office suite
- JD Edwards and PeopleDoc experience a plus

- Willingness and ability to travel - approximately 30-35%
- Demonstrated record of excellent customer service and process improvement
- Thorough knowledge of employment and benefits programs, procedures, and administration
- Ability to work efficiently with managers and employees at all levels of the organization
- Good working knowledge of state and federal legislation relating to employment, such as ADA, EEOC, etc., and related knowledge of Workers’ Compensation and unemployment regulations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
