About the Role:
As a Senior Project Manager, you will lead and mentor a team through complex roadway and transportation projects. This role involves overseeing project budgets, schedules, and profitability while maintaining strong client relationships and driving engineering excellence. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and ensure successful project execution from preliminary studies through final design and construction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage projects from inception to completion, including preliminary studies, design, and construction documents.
- Lead and supervise a team of engineers and technicians in transportation and roadway design.
- Develop project criteria, schedules, and budgets while ensuring financial oversight and profitability.
- Maintain strong client relationships and actively pursue new business opportunities.
- Work closely with municipalities, government agencies, and private clients.
- Attend client meetings, industry events, and site visits as required.
- Oversee quality assurance and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License required.
- 5 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on transportation and roadway design.
- Minimum 3 years of project management experience.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience with MDOT projects and a deep understanding of transportation engineering best practices.
Work Environment & Travel:
- Office-based work with occasional travel to project sites.
- Attendance at client meetings and industry events may be required.
- Site visits and inspections as needed to oversee project progress.
