We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our team. Duties
As a Direct Support Professional, your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting individuals with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management.
- Supporting clients in community integration by facilitating participation in social, recreational, and educational activities.
- Monitoring and documenting vital signs as necessary to ensure health and safety.
- Providing first aid when required and responding appropriately to emergencies.
- Maintaining compliance with HIPAA regulations to protect client confidentiality and privacy.
- Lifting and transferring clients safely as needed, ensuring their comfort and dignity at all times.
- Collaborating with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop individualized support plans tailored to each client’s needs.
Experience
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or in a nursing home setting is preferred.
- Familiarity with home community care practices is a plus.
- Knowledge of first aid procedures and the ability to monitor vital signs effectively.
- Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrating empathy, patience, and respect for individuals with disabilities.
- Ability to lift clients safely while ensuring their comfort during assistance.

Experience:
