What are the responsibilities and job description for the Server/Bartender position at Emperor's Palace?
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to customers
- Interact with customers, take orders, and provide excellent customer service
- Check identification of customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol
- Clean and maintain the bar area, including stocking supplies and replenishing inventory
- Follow all safety and sanitation policies when handling food and beverages
- Handle cash transactions and operate the POS system accurately
- Upsell food and beverage items to increase sales
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate delivery of orders
- Assist in setting up and breaking down the bar area for events or functions
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a bartender or server in a similar role
- Knowledge of basic math skills for cash handling and calculating drink prices
- Familiarity with bartending techniques and ability to learn and memorize drink recipes
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be at least 21 years old
- Must have Food handling certification and liquor license upon hire
- Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
