Do you love bartending? Interested in working in the hospitality industry in a position that provides benefits? We are looking for an outgoing and reliable bartende/server to join our team here at Olympia Hotel at Capitol Lake (previously known as Hotel RL).
*We are currently offering a $500 sign on bonus*
Job Summary:
The bartender/server is responsible for set-up, mixing of drinks, taking customer's food orders, serve food ,and clean up bar area while providing the highest quality of service possible to guests in an efficient and courteous manner
Job Duties:
- Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
- Make and serve drinks to guests and cocktail servers following established guidelines, procedures and policies regarding beverage and safety controls as prescribed standards. Check guests for proper identification
- Ring guest checks, collect cash and process credits and room charges
- Stock, order or requisition Liquors and supply lists
- Have a thorough knowledge of menus and specials in the restaurant
- Clear, clean and reset tables as needed
- Carry out cashiering functions in closing checks and end of shift paperwork
- Perform opening and closing procedures, and side work duties according to station rotation assignment
- Ensure that tables and side stands are kept stocked, tidy and clean
- Perform any other duties as requested by management
Job Requirements:
- Previous experience bartending required
- Must have or obtain Washington State Food Handler's permit and MAST permit prior to first day of employment
- Know and comply with state liquor laws
- Comply with certification requirements as applicable to position to include Alcohol Awareness, Food Handlers, Safety, etc
- Ability to stoop, bend, kneel, twist, lift, crouch, reach, push, pull throughout shift.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs throughout shift
- Ability to stand throughout assigned shift.
