We are seeking an entry-level Quality Control (QC) Inspector with experience in the automotive parts industry to join our team. This individual will be responsible for ensuring that all incoming products meet established inspection standards, tracking inventory, assisting with production and assembly, and performing necessary rework repairs. The ideal candidate will possess a keen attention to detail, strong communication skills, and a commitment to maintaining high product quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Incoming Product Inspection :

Receive and inspect incoming auto parts to ensure they meet specified quality standards and specifications. Utilize inspection tools and equipment to measure and assess the products.

  • Failure Reporting :
  • Identify products that do not meet specifications or quality standards. Document findings, create detailed failure reports, and communicate discrepancies to the relevant departments.

  • Warehouse Inspection and Pulling Products :
  • Perform regular inspections of stored products within the warehouse, pull samples or full lots for inspection, and verify the accuracy of parts ready for shipment or assembly.

  • QC Reporting :
  • Create and maintain quality control reports, documenting problems discovered during inspections and reporting them to management. Ensure reports are accurate, clear, and delivered in a timely manner.

  • Inventory Management :
  • Track and manage inventory for items that fail quality control checks. Transfer items out of available inventory, ensuring proper documentation of non-compliant parts and updates to the system.

  • Production and Assembly Support :
  • Assist with shop production and assembly processes, ensuring all parts and components used meet quality standards. Help troubleshoot and address quality issues on the production floor.

  • Rework and Repairs :
  • Perform approved rework and repairs on defective parts as needed. Ensure that repairs meet the required quality standards, and track labor time spent on each task for documentation.

  • Continuous Improvement :
  • Provide feedback on recurring quality issues and suggest improvements to processes, products, or tools. Work with other team members to develop solutions to recurring problems.

  • Adherence to Safety and Compliance :
  • Follow all company policies, safety guidelines, and quality standards. Maintain a clean and organized workspace and contribute to a safe working environment.

    Required Qualifications :

  • Previous experience in quality control, preferably in the automotive parts industry.
  • Basic understanding of inspection tools and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, gauges, etc.).
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality standards.
  • Strong attention to detail with an ability to identify defects and deviations.
  • Good communication skills for reporting findings and collaborating with team members.
  • Basic knowledge of production and assembly processes in the automotive industry.
  • Ability to perform basic rework and repairs on auto parts.
  • Basic computer skills and familiarity with inventory tracking systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to track and document inspection results and repairs.
  • Preferred Qualifications :

  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles or continuous improvement processes.
  • Familiarity with automotive parts and assembly standards.
  • Previous experience with warehouse management or inventory control.

    Hours : 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM
