Position Summary
Responsible for setting up weld operations including utilizing temporary clamping devices to secure material in proper location prior to welding. Perform finishing operations including removing slag and other imperfections to produce aesthetically acceptable weldments.
Position Responsibilities
- Production of various fabricated components via MIG welding techniques from engineering blueprints and other production documentation
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and welding equipment
- Other duties as assigned

Role Qualifications
- High School diploma, tech school training highly desirable
- 2-5 years’ experience utilizing MIG welding to join thin gauge steels, preferably in a job shop environment
Essential Skills and Experience
- Demonstrated ability to weld thin gauge steel utilizing the MIG welding process
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and standard welding symbols
- Ability to set-up weld machine parameters (amps, volts, etc.)
- Understand and utilize conventional and precision measuring instruments
- Capable of performing in-process inspections
- Finish grinding applications using manual and power tools
- Safety focused
Physical Requirements
- Work environment includes regular exposure to manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment including safety glasses, hearing and foot protection
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on a regular basis
- Must be able to bend, stoop, and stand for extended periods of time
