The welder is responsible for performing welding needs in assigned areas of manufacturing or installation to make sub-assemblies, assemblies and/or support the welding requirements for mounting truck equipment safely and efficiently to specification following proper welding guidelines. It is also the responsibility of the Welder to ensure that all work being done in accordance with good quality practices and adhere to the AWS Standards.
Your Responsibilities
Education and/or Experience
High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Technical training greatly preferred; 1-2 years welding training/experience and a Mechanical background preferred.
Language Skills
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to update job-related documentation. Ability to effectively present information one-on-one to other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

The welder is responsible for performing welding needs in assigned areas of manufacturing or installation to make sub-assemblies, assemblies and/or support the welding requirements for mounting truck equipment safely and efficiently to specification following proper welding guidelines. Your Responsibilities
- Use and read measuring, squaring and leveling instruments within 1/16”.
- Able to use hand and power tools which may include: welding clamps, vise grips, square, wire cutters, scrapers, hammers, impact guns etc.
- Able to properly use and maintain oxy/acetylene and carbon arc cutting equipment; use and maintain MIG Welding equipment.
- Reads and understands drawing specifications, and instructions according to Standard Operating Procedure (SOP).
- Efficiently and safely welds sub-assemblies, assemblies and welding needs to mount truck equipment.
- Physically capable to bend, reach, push, pull and put parts into position for welding
