Job Title: Sanitation Supervisor
Location: Commissary Department: Sanitation
Reports to: Quality Manager
Hours: 5:30PM - 3:30AM
Job Summary
Manage all sanitation activities on 2nd shift. Ensure Sanitation practices are consistent with established standards, customer specifications, legislative requirements and production goals. Assist in management of SQF program and responsibilities for HACCP Sanitation requirements. Demonstrate respect, honesty, inclusion, and safety.
Essential Job Duties:
· Train and, when necessary, re-train sanitation personnel to meet all job requirements.
· Promote positive work environment on the sanitation team.
· Effectively and positively communicate and collaborate with the production, warehouse and maintenance leaders to resolve issues and advance the needs of the entire plant.
· Maintain and develop SOP for sanitation and confirm completion of activities and paper copies.
· Responsible for chemical concentration testing and documented results.
· Inspect facility to ensure cleanliness after sanitation activities.
· Conducts and oversees allergen testing.
· Communicates with Maintenance on cleaning equipment repairs and other equipment problems found when cleaning.
· Conduct Rodac plate testing to verify cleanliness of equipment and facilities.
· Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
· Supervise employees engaged in cleaning, inspection and testing activities to ensure high productivity and high technical integrity.
· Responsible for recording and initiating any corrective actions needed.
· Responsible for reporting and setting action plan to address any issues that impact food safety or quality
· Follow & enforce company safety, GMP, behavioral rules, & other policies in employee handbook.
· Responsible for completing employee performance reviews
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree in related field or equivalent work experience preferred.
· Working knowledge of Sanitation procedures, chemical titrations, HACCP requirements, and procedures.
· Supervisory experience at a plant level.
· Excellent oral and written communications skills.
· Computer skills including working knowledge of Word and Excel.
Physical Requirements:
· Standing, walking, stooping, crouching, kneeling occasionally, use of hands and arms.
· Light lifting of up to 20 pounds occasionally.
