What are the responsibilities and job description for the CNC Machine Operator position at Empire Building Materials Inc?
Summary:A Door shop employee will perform tasks involving the production of the company’s products. This includes hanging door slabs in various sized jambs, altering or customizing door slabs, preparing door slabs for a variety of residential and commercial locks, and installing glass or decorative lights in doors. The position follows standard work methods and practices safe work habits to ensure production is as efficient and safe as possible.

Operate computer numerical control (CNC) machine
· Reads work orders and performs work as assigned by department supervisor
· Operate a number of hand tools including but not limited to hammers, saws, screwdrivers, chisels, and pliers
· Operate a number of power tools including but not limited to routers, power saws, drills, screw guns, sanders, and air nailers
· Upon certification employees may also operate electric pallet jacks, forklifts and scissor lifts
Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
· Must be able to stand for long periods , up to 3 hours at a time, throughout the day during an average work shift
· Must be able to lift up to 70 pounds overhead, repeatedly throughout the day during an average work shift
· Use repetitive motions with hands and arms for activities like sanding repeatedly for long periods of time during an average work shift
· While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear over power tools.
Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. Dust masks, safety glasses and hearing protection will be provided by the company.
Required Education and Experience: The required knowledge, skill and abilities are typically acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school or GED
