Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable IT Support professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, and software. This role requires a strong understanding of various operating systems and the ability to troubleshoot issues efficiently. The IT Support specialist will play a crucial role in maintaining the integrity of our IT infrastructure and ensuring that all employees have access to the technology they need to perform their jobs effectively. MUST LIVE WITHIN 30 minutes of address.
Duties
- Provide first-level support for hardware and software issues across various operating systems including Windows, Mac OS, and Linux.
- Manage user accounts and permissions through Active Directory.
- Utilize System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) for software deployment and updates.
- Troubleshoot network connectivity issues within Local Area Networks (LAN) and ensure proper firewall configurations.
- Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of computer hardware.
- Document all support interactions in a ticketing system to track issues and resolutions.
- Collaborate with other IT team members to resolve complex technical problems.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on systems to ensure optimal performance.
Experience
- Proficiency in operating systems such as Windows Server, Mac OS, and Linux is essential.
- Experience with Active Directory for user management is required.
- Knowledge of computer hardware components and troubleshooting techniques is necessary.
- Understanding of LAN configurations and firewall management is a plus.
- Previous experience in an IT support role or similar position is highly desirable.
Schedule
- Tuesday and Thursday 8 Hours per Day
- Potential Additional Days onsite with same customer
- Potential Additional Days onsite with a couple other local customers
- Contract to Hire Full time is also potential
