- Customer-Focused Digital Marketing Strategy
- Establish and cultivate partnerships with customers to leverage data-driven insights to enhance campaign targeting and effectiveness.
- Develop and recommend retail media techniques specific to each customer including:
- Audience targeting tools such as digital coupons and Loyal Customer Mailers (LCMs.)
- Product Listing Ads (PLAs) in search results, basket builder, and coupon environments.
- Targeted Onsite Ads (TOAs) including banner ads.
- Etc.
- Customize creative digital marketing content from the ground up to increase brand awareness for customers.
- Continuously monitor the retail market landscape to identify opportunities and recommend impactful digital marketing campaigns to drive customer business growth.
- Strategic Customer Partnerships & Insights
- Collaborate with Empire’s Corporate Sales Managers to launch targeted digital media campaigns on behalf of Empire’s customers.
- Build strong, foundational relationships with executives, creative teams, and key stakeholders in Kroger.
- Provide actionable insights to customers to measure performance and optimize future ad campaigns.
- Develop access to loyalty data, removing organic sales from targeted ad campaigns and reporting on the effectiveness of new business growth for our customers.
- Internal Campaign Development
- Collaborate with leadership to design the company’s overall marketing goals.
- Develop and execute digital marketing strategies that align with these goals.
- Create and manage content and digital media execution across a variety of programmatic and social advertising platforms.
- Develop and manage content marketing strategy to drive engagement and conversions.
- Develop and execute direct email campaigns to target audiences.
- Internal Performance Analysis and Optimization
- Develop measurements and reports to assess performance of all digital marketing campaigns against goals (ROI and KPIs).
- Analyze key performance metrics and use data-driven insights to continuously optimize marketing campaigns and improve results.
- Implement and optimize SEO strategies to improve organic search rankings and drive website traffic.
- Develop and manage SEM campaigns, including keyword research, bid management, and ad copy optimization.
- Monitor and analyze website analytics, user behavior, and conversion data to identify areas for improvement.
- Other Duties
- Respond in a timely manner to internal and external correspondence via email and phone.
- Ad hoc reporting as required.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field preferred.
- 5 years of experience in digital marketing or a related field.
- Experience with large data sets in MS Excel required.
- Proven experience in developing and executing digital marketing campaigns.
- Strong understanding of SEO, SEM, PPC, social media, and email marketing.
- Proficiency in marketing analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEMrush, HubSpot).
- Experience utilizing Kroger Precision Marketing data to drive campaign results.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinking with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
- Duties are typically performed in an indoor, office environment.
- Noise levels – typically low to moderate.
