Job Summary
This position requires a construction minded individual. You will be responsible for assisting the project manager and field superintendent with project execution from bid to closeout. You will work on data center, industrial and unique specialty commercial projects. You will help lead a team of dedicated fence installers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
This position requires a construction minded individual. You will be responsible for assisting the project manager and field superintendent with project execution from bid to closeout. You will work on data center, industrial and unique specialty commercial projects. You will help lead a team of dedicated fence installers, ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Follow schedules and monitor attendance of crew members to maintain the timeline of job(s)
- Allocate general and daily responsibilities to meet project goals
- Assist with material take-offs
- Acquire material quotes
- Prepare change orders
- Assist with submitting/answering RFI’s
- Prepare and review shop drawings
- Material Procurement
- Provide proper document management of all materials related to project meetings, submittals, RFI’s, change orders, etc.
- Coordinate safety/progress meetings
- Submit 811 tickets and dig permits
- Conduct regular and frequent jobsite visits
- Prepare project status reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends
- Project closeout
- Resolve problems when they arise
- Report on-site progress to project manager
- Ensure all safety precautions and quality standards are met
- Translate job tasks to co-workers in ways they can understand
- Calculate concrete requirements accurately

- Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field
- 0-2 years' experience in the construction industry

- Ability to read, understand and interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedules
- Ability to understand and solve complex challenges in order to present alternative solutions
- Demonstrates leadership and interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal
- Proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft Office
