Summary : The role of the Quality Assurance Manager is to oversee all aspects of the Quality System. To effectively ensure the production and shipment of quality parts per documented Quality System Manual procedures, consistent with the Empire Precision Quality Policy.
Essential Functions : ADMINISTRATION OF THE QUALITY SYSTEM o To evaluate, enhance and maintain all facets of the quality system. o To monitor and ensure maintenance of the IQMS Quality Module. o To monitor and evaluate Nonconforming and Corrective Action Systems. o To monitor and evaluate metrology activities for effectiveness. o To ensure implementation of internal audits and auditor training. o To determine effectiveness of training through internal audits. o To report to Management on the status of the quality system at monthly management review meetings. o To monitor, analyze and evaluate quality performance metrics presented at monthly management review meetings. o Identify and implement continuous improvement projects to improve quality and reduce cost.
EMPIRE MANAGEMENT REPRESENTATIVE o Schedule registrar audits and respond to findings and corrective actions o Maintain internal audit schedule o To evaluate the suitability and effectiveness of all quality system elements through management review. o To determine the effectiveness of business systems thought internal audit findings and other key indicators.
MANAGE QUALITY ASSURANCE STAFF o Recruit, hire and terminate quality assurance personnel. o Performance reviews and career development for quality assurance personnel. o Train quality assurance personnel. o Manage, schedule and assign resources for daily quality assurance activities.
QUALITY PLANNING o Planning for new product development.
PRODUCTION CAPABILITY o Statistical analysis of part quality. o Determine effectiveness of PDP implementation.
COMMUNICATIONS o Facilitate customer quality surveys, vendor performance and analysis of benchmark data. o Participate with customer visitations
Required Skills Blueprint Reading & GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance)
Experienced in use of all measurement equipment.
Computer Literacy using Word, Excel, etc.
Certified Lead Auditor
Quality Systems and Quality Management Experience.
Reports to : Director of Operations
Work Environment : Manufacturing Office
Physical Requirements : Minimal lifting, less than 25 pounds
Educational Requirement : High School Diploma
