What are the responsibilities and job description for the Administrative Assistant for Business and Family Operations position at Empirista Ventures?
Summary
We are seeking to hire a part-time (15-20 hours per week) position as a local Business and Family administrative assistant to join our team at Empirista Ventures to support the needs of our family businesses and house responsibilities (e.g., cooking, errands, etc.). In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting our operations and ensuring that our team can focus on making a positive difference in the world. This position is based in Plano, TX.
Responsibilities as Business Administrative Assistant are virtual and include the following:
- Provide administrative support to the team, including managing schedules and communications.
- Organize and maintain files and documentation for easy access.
- Assist with calendar management, scheduling meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
- Utilize Google Suite for document creation, data entry, and collaboration.
- Execute social media and content marketing activities and our marketing calendar (content created by our Marketing team).
- Act as a point of contact for internal and external communications.
- Support office management tasks to ensure a smooth workflow such as data entry.
Five hours per week are expected during these time frames:
- Saturday mornings: 1 hour during 8:30-10:30
- Saturday afternoons: 1 hour during 2:00-5:00pm
- Sunday mornings: 1 hour during 8:30-10:30
- Sunday afternoons: 1 hour during 2:00-5:00pm
Responsibilities for in-person at Northwest Plano residence include the following:
- Help with cooking
- Meal-prep
- Kitchen clean-up
- Running basic errands.
Approximately ten hours per week are expected during these time frames Monday-Friday:
- Either two weekdays (5 hours each) or three weekdays (3.5 hours week)
- Examples:
- § Mondays: 8am-1pm
- § Wednesdays: 9am-2pm
This position requires a complete background check.
Required Qualifications
- Access to car (to drive to Northwest Plano residence). Note: This position does not require driving children (or anyone else).
- Relevant experience in home setting
- Dependability
- Excellent communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
- Proven experience as an administrative assistant or in a similar role.
- Strong proficiency in Google Suite applications (Docs, Sheets, Drive).
Preferred Qualifications
- Spanish language competency
