Are you an experienced account management professional with a passion for leadership and client relationships? Employee Family Protection, Inc. (EFP) is seeking a Senior Account Manager to serve as a team lead, ensuring top-tier customer service and managing key client relationships.
About the Role
As a Senior Account Manager, you will take a lead role in managing EFP’s client portfolio, overseeing service delivery, resolving escalations, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, insurance carriers, brokers, and vendors. This role requires strategic problem-solving, leadership in client interactions, and a proactive approach to account management.
Key Responsibilities
- Act as the primary liaison between clients, insurance carriers, brokers, and vendors.
- Lead resolution of client escalations related to claims, underwriting, billing, and product inquiries.
- Develop and maintain strong, long-term client relationships by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions.
- Identify efficiencies, deficiencies, and provide innovative service improvements.
- Generate renewal proposals and process new business while reviewing client exposures, coverage, and loss experience.
- Communicate client updates and changes to internal teams and external partners.
- Maintain expertise in voluntary benefits, payroll files, billing processes, enrollment systems, and claims procedures.
- Oversee and coordinate client re-enrollments, including organizing meetings, status calls, and follow-ups.
Requirements
What We’re Looking For
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or related field (or Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience).
- Experience: 6 years in customer service, billing, or claims management, preferably in a leadership role.
- Skills:
- Strong leadership, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and web-based management systems.
- Experience managing remote/field staff preferred.
- Licensing: Must obtain a Health and Life license within 180 days of employment.
