What are the responsibilities and job description for the Payroll Specialist position at Employee Relations Associates?
Description:
Process bi-weekly payroll for all employees, including salary, hourly, and commission-based staff.
Ensure accurate and timely calculation of wages, overtime, deductions, bonuses, and other compensation elements.
Maintain and update employee payroll records, including changes in salaries, benefits, and tax withholdings.
Verify and reconcile payroll data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Prepare and submit payroll tax filings, including federal, state, and local taxes.
Equity award processing
Ensure compliance with all payroll-related regulations and company policies.
Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll deductions promptly and professionally.
Collaborate with HR and Finance departments to streamline payroll processes and resolve any discrepancies.
Generate and distribute payroll reports to management as needed.
Stay current with changes in payroll laws and regulations to ensure ongoing compliance.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced environment.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
Proficiency working with ADP Workforce Now and MS Office Suite, particularly Excel.
