Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Forklift Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating forklifts and other heavy equipment to move materials throughout the warehouse efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of warehouse operations and the ability to work collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth logistics processes.
We have a 1st and 2nd shift Forklift position available. 6AM-2:30PM or 2:30PM-11PM. Experience is required for this position.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks to transport goods within the warehouse.
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage.
- Utilize warehouse management systems to track inventory movements accurately.
- Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure safe operation.
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and improve operational efficiency.
- Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while operating heavy equipment.
- Assist in building pallets for storage or shipment as needed.
Experience
- Previous experience in a distribution center or warehouse environment is required.
- Proficiency in operating heavy equipment, including forklifts, cherry pickers, and pallet jacks.
- Mechanical knowledge is a plus, enabling troubleshooting of minor equipment issues.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative in tasks.
The job site is dusty because of the product that is being made and distributed. Protective equipment is provided.
