Groundskeeper/Handyman

Position Summary: As a groundskeeper, you will be responsible for the upkeep and organization of the assigned property. This will include pet care and various assigned errands. Working conditions/environment. Daily use of protective clothing and equipment. Physical effort is required to lift equipment of 50lbs or more. Job requires standing for long periods of time, bending, reaching and heavy lifting. Must be able to work occasional holidays as needed.

Roles and Responsibilities:

1.Monitor and replace light bulbs in all facilities as needed.

2. Handle minor furniture assembly

3. Preform basic plumbing and electrical work. Partner with management when further attention is required.

4. Routine maintenance and troubleshoot when necessary.

5. Preform cleanup duties as assigned.

6. Must have reliable transportation to and from jobsites.

7. Ability to pick up/transport materials, supplies and equipment as needed.

8. Complete assigned duties in a timely manner.

9. Perform cleaning and maintenance of all equipment and tools used on the job.

10. Fill out daily checklist and review with supervisor daily if not weekly. Recap any findings and or performance issues to resolve any inefficiencies in current process.

11. Verbal and written request to direct supervisor is required for any issues regarding lack of training and development for position.

12. Communication with direct supervisor of any other job-related functions that may interfere with the ability to perform any of the above tasks in an effecient, professional and productive manner.

13. Requesting supplies and equipment when working with jobsite to ensure job expectations are met.

14. Ability to follow safety protocols.

15. Overtime may be necessary.

16. Assist with special projects as needed.

17. Pet Care.

18. Upkeep of the property.

19. Outdoor cleaning and organizing.

20. Adheres to the California Consumer Privacy Act (CPRA) and ensures the subordinates do the same.

Preferred skills:

The Groundskeeper will possess a combination of basic handyman skills, good service skills, always maintain a professional demeanor during the scheduled workday, must be able to multitask. Must have skills to work independently as well as on teams, and have excellent communications skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
