FMLA Specialist

Employment Enterprises Inc. is supporting one of the leading providers of transportation services in the DC Metropolitan area. We are searching for an FMLA Specialist to review FMLA cases and organize medical information. This is onsite in Hyattsville, MD and pays $45.16 per hour.

FMLA Specialist Responsibilities

• Independently approves and/or denies FMLA cases based on relevant medical information.
• Coordinates and organizes all medical information and ensures that HIPAA and Employee Privacy guidelines are closely monitored and effectively executed.
• Reviews and assesses current FMLA leave practices and proposes revisions to improve overall accuracy, consistency, efficiency and communication with stakeholders.
• Counsel employees, supervisors and management about FMLA rights and responsibilities while maintaining appropriate confidentiality of employees, supervisors and departments to keep stakeholders informed and up to date through MLA leave application process, period of FMLA leave, and return to work.
  
  

FMLA Specialist Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of related experience.
• Experience with FMLA leave, Knowledge of ADA- American Disability Act and other benefit leaves preferable.
• Attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic computer skills.
