The Benefits Consultant is responsible for developing, implementing, administering, and maintaining benefits programs (welfare, wellness, financial, LOA/ADA), policies, and procedures.
What you will do:
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of benefit programs, processes, and systems.
- Lead annual processes and audits, including education and communication.
- Recommend programs and updates by anticipating future business challenges and opportunities
- Provide forward-thinking benefit approaches that align with the overall HR strategy and support business objectives.
- Resolve complex employee questions and concerns by interpreting benefit policies and procedures.
- Partner with benefit consultants to identify and consider benefit options as well as in achieving financial objectives.
- Keep abreast of federal and state laws and regulations and ensures compliance.
What you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent work experience
- SHRM Certification or CEBS Certification preferred, but not required
- Two to Four Years of Benefit Experience
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to apply knowledge and previous experience in new situations.
- Ability to prioritize issues and tasks/work to meet established turnaround times and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills that adapt to the audience
- Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background
Salary Band: 05B

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
