Job Summary
The Vendor Manager in the BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) sector is responsible for managing relationships with third-party service providers to ensure efficient delivery of services, cost optimization, and high performance. This role involves overseeing vendor performance, negotiating contracts, mitigating risks, and fostering strong partnerships to support business objectives.
Primary duties may include, but are not limited to:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with managed services vendors to ensure seamless collaboration and alignment with company goals.
- Negotiate contract terms, service-level agreements (SLAs), and pricing models to achieve favorable terms.
- Administer supplier scorecard process.
- Conduct business reviews with key strategic suppliers (both Enterprise and IT supplier)
- Responsible for maintaining accurate status and health of vendor performance.
- Responsible for ensuring vendors meet or exceed contracted service commitments, measuring performance against operational Service Level Agreements (SLA) and coordinating vendor activity to meet current and future operational requirements and project needs in alignment with IT and Corporate goals
- Identify risks and work to mitigate through the execution of strategic projects.
- Ensure vendors comply with relevant regulations, security standards, and company policies.
- Maintains expert knowledge of all aspects of assigned vendor agreements and obligations
- Work with suppliers on cost reduction strategies while maintaining service quality.
- Track and communicate metrics related to supplier performance to all levels of the organization.
- Negotiate cost pressure issues facing assigned suppliers.
- Act as an escalation path for Procurement, IT, Lines of Business, or Operations as needed while ensuring timely resolution and continuous improvement
- Determines and documents action plans for vendors when required
- Participates in vendor management lifecycle (identification, evaluation, selection, maintenance, termination) as required
- On-board new suppliers through the new supplier development process.
- Conduct routine supplier assessments to maintain current information.
- Oversee long-term relationship with suppliers to identify growth opportunities.
- Perform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.
Job Requirements
Recommended Education and/or Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field (MBA preferred).
- Master’s in business administration (MBA), Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM), or Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) certifications are a plus.
Required Work Experience
- 5 years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or outsourcing within the BPO or related industries.
- Or any combination of education and experience which would provide an equivalent background

This selected candidate will be expected to work hybrid in Indianapolis, IN. The candidate will also be expected to physically return to the office in CA, IN or ME as business needs dictate or for team-building and collaboration.
