BEHAVIORAL HEALTH CLINICIAN

Job Title: Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist

Reports To: Clinical Director

Job Type: Full-Time

Key Responsibilities:

1. Client Assessment and Diagnosis:
   • Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health conditions, emotional well-being, and behavioral issues.
   • Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to formulate accurate diagnoses.
2. Therapeutic Intervention:
   • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
   • Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other relevant modalities.
   • Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
3. Collaboration and Coordination:
   • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
   • Coordinate care with external providers, community resources, and support networks to ensure holistic treatment.
4. Client Advocacy and Education:
   • Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and in the community.
   • Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
5. Documentation and Compliance:
   • Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
   • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
6. Professional Development:
   • Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including training, workshops, and supervision.
   • Stay current with developments in the field of behavioral health therapy and integrate new knowledge into practice.

Qualifications:

• Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
• Licensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
• Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably in an outpatient environment.
• Skills:
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
  • Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Other Requirements:
  • Background check and clearance.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice.

Schedule:  Monday – Friday, 11:00 am – 7:00pm

Work Location: 1165 Centre Parkway, Lexington KY (Employment Solutions Campus)
