Job Title: Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist
Reports To: Clinical Director
Job Type: Full-Time
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Assessment and Diagnosis:
- Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients' mental health conditions, emotional well-being, and behavioral issues.
- Utilize diagnostic tools and techniques to formulate accurate diagnoses.
- Therapeutic Intervention:
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals.
- Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other relevant modalities.
- Facilitate individual, group, and family therapy sessions.
- Collaboration and Coordination:
- Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Coordinate care with external providers, community resources, and support networks to ensure holistic treatment.
- Client Advocacy and Education:
- Advocate for clients' needs within the healthcare system and in the community.
- Educate clients and their families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and coping strategies.
- Documentation and Compliance:
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation, including progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal, ethical, and organizational standards.
- Professional Development:
- Participate in ongoing professional development activities, including training, workshops, and supervision.
- Stay current with developments in the field of behavioral health therapy and integrate new knowledge into practice.
Qualifications:
- Education: Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field.
- Licensure: Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a behavioral health setting, preferably in an outpatient environment.
- Skills:
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.
- Proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Other Requirements:
- Background check and clearance.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical practice.
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 11:00 am – 7:00pm
