Our client is a precision sheet metal manufacturing company specializing in Aerospace, Medical, and Military applications. They are seeking an experienced Quality Manager to oversee their Quality Management System (QMS) and serve as the AS9100 Quality Management Representative (QMR).
This role is critical in ensuring that all products meet the highest industry standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AS9100 compliance, CMM programming, and quality leadership within a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
Competitive salary (Based on experience) 60k-75k yearly
Responsibilities:
- Act as the AS9100 Quality Management Representative (QMR), ensuring compliance with AS9100, ISO 9001, and customer requirements.
- Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage internal and external audits, including serving as the primary point of contact for certification bodies.
- Develop, implement, and maintain inspection and testing procedures to ensure product quality.
- Utilize and program CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machines) for inspection processes.
- Work closely with engineering, production, and customers to resolve quality-related issues.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory, legal, and contractual obligations related to quality.
- Train and mentor quality team members, ensuring adherence to company and industry standards.
Qualifications:
✅ Experience:
- 5 years of experience in Quality Management within a sheet metal manufacturing environment.
- Experience with AS9100 Quality Systems is required.
- CMM programming experience is required.
✅ Industry Experience (Preferred but Not Required):
- Aerospace, Medical, or Military Manufacturing environments.
✅ Technical Skills & Knowledge:
- Strong understanding of AS9100, ISO 9001, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in CMM programming and operation.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, GD&T, and technical specifications.
- Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective actions.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
