Job Opportunity: Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
Empower Autism Omaha is seeking a dedicated, compassionate, and skilled Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) licensed (LBA) in Nebraska to join our team. About the Role
As a BCBA at Empower Autism Omaha, you will oversee a small, manageable caseload to ensure the highest quality of care for each family. You’ll conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, implement direct treatment sessions, and provide supervision to RBTs. You’ll also collaborate closely with families, fostering a team-oriented approach to support each child’s growth in areas such as communication, daily living skills, social interactions, and self-regulation.
The role requires exceptional leadership skills, the ability to mentor and inspire team members, and a commitment to fostering a fun, collaborative, and supportive work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct Functional Behavior Assessments (FBAs) and develop individualized treatment plans.
- Implement direct treatment sessions.
- Oversee the implementation of treatment plans by RBTs, providing supervision and regular feedback.
- Collaborate with families to ensure treatment goals align with their values and priorities.
- Monitor and evaluate client progress using data-driven approaches, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Provide direct therapy to model techniques and maintain treatment fidelity.
- Support professional development for RBTs through training, mentorship, and guidance.

- Ensure compliance with ethical and professional standards of the BACB.

Physical Requirements
The role of a BCBA at Empower Autism Omaha involves working directly with children, often requiring physical activity and the ability to respond quickly in various situations. The physical requirements include:
- Mobility: Ability to move freely and quickly, including kneeling, crouching, bending, sitting on the floor, standing for extended periods, and transitioning between positions throughout the session.
- Strength: Capability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed, such as assisting a child or moving therapy materials.
- Endurance: Capacity to sustain energy and focus for active sessions, which may last several hours.
- Responsiveness: Ability to respond promptly and effectively to unexpected situations, including preventing elopement or redirecting challenging behaviors.
- Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in using hands to manipulate therapy tools, write notes, and assist with fine-motor activities.
- Sensory Awareness: Capability to observe and interpret a child’s verbal and nonverbal cues, as well as to monitor the environment for potential safety concerns.
