Position Summary
The Project Management Office (PMO) Manager is integral to Empower's success, driving our mission to deliver high-quality, innovative health and wellness medications. This role aligns closely with our values of people, service, quality, and innovation by ensuring all projects are efficiently managed and executed to meet our strategic goals. The PMO Manager will establish project scope, define roles and responsibilities, and implement governance frameworks to streamline project execution across the organization.
In this role, you will develop and maintain a comprehensive project dashboard, providing executives with real-time insights into project progress and key metrics. You will design and implement escalation processes for addressing project issues and risks, ensuring timely resolutions and minimal disruptions. Your leadership will extend to overseeing project-level scope, financials, and work plans, while coordinating organizational change management initiatives related to project implementations.

Duties and Responsibilities
- Identifies and establishes scope and parameters of requirements analysis on a project-by-project basis to define project impact, desired outcomes and metrics.
- Defines and implements project roles and responsibilities, including project sponsors, project managers, and team members across the organization.
- Establishes and maintains a regular cadence for project governance meetings and reporting, ensuring timely and accurate communication of project statuses to stakeholders.
- Develops and manages a comprehensive project dashboard that provides a high-level overview of all projects' progress, milestones, and key metrics for executive decision-making.
- Designs and implements an effective escalation process for addressing project issues and risks, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project outcomes.
- Oversees the management of project-level scope, financials, and work plans across the organization's project portfolio.
- Leads the coordination of organizational change management initiatives related to project implementations.
- Develops and maintains project management standards, tools, and templates to be used across the organization.
- Provides mentorship and guidance to project managers and team members to enhance project management capabilities within the organization.
- Conducts interviews to gather customer requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
- Ensures an optimal balance between time and cost by evaluating and prioritizing tasks to maximize return on investment, thereby delivering high-value solutions efficiently and sustainably.
- Manages project risks and issues by proactively identifying potential challenges and obstacles.
- Closely monitors the financial impact of procurement decisions on the overall project, managing costs to stay within budget while optimizing resource allocation to achieve project goals effectively.
- Manages project stakeholder expectations with scope, schedule, and budget constraints.

Experience and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Information Technology, or a related field required.
- Master's degree preferred.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in a senior PMO role.
- Proven experience in establishing and managing a centralized PMO function in a small to medium organization.
- Experience with project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Asana, or similar).
- Experience in mentoring and developing project management professionals.
Project Management Professional Certification or Agile Certification.
