Job Summary

Golden Pavilion Healthcare is seeking a Maintenance Director to perform and / or coordinate all repairs and physical maintenance for the community and ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled and performed on all equipment as needed.

Essential Functions :

• Implements and documents preventative maintenance program for facility and equipment.
• Maintains grounds including outside community repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal or coordinates services with outside vendors where appropriate.
• Maintains inside of community, offices and common areas in community, including carpet and furniture cleaning, window cleaning, painting, removal of trash and upkeep of vinyl.
• Maintains and / or oversees repair of community equipment; ensures equipment is functioning properly and staff are trained appropriately in its use.
• Prepares apartments for move-in and completes refurbishing of apartments after move-out, including painting of apartments.
• Observes problems, concerns, issues with resident apartments, the community and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.
• Coordinates with the local fire department for emergency procedures per state regulations / codes (i.e. fire drills).
• Maintains record of resident repairs and work performed.
• Conducts Physical Plant Orientation for new hires.
• Must be able to manage and mentor other maintenance personnel in the performance of maintenance and repair functions. Schedules maintenance personnel if applicable.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays and overtime, to meet the position's requirements.
• Ability to report to the community as needed to handle maintenance emergencies.
