At Evergreen Healthcare, we are here to make a meaningful difference.Job SummaryHeartwood Extended Care in Tacoma, Washington is seeking a Maintenance Director to perform and / or coordinate all repairs and physical maintenance for the community and ensure preventive maintenance is scheduled and performed on all equipment as needed.Essential Functions : Implements and documents preventative maintenance program for facility and equipment.Maintains grounds including outside community repair, lawn maintenance and garbage removal or coordinates services with outside vendors where appropriate.Maintains inside of community, offices and common areas in community, including carpet and furniture cleaning, window cleaning, painting, removal of trash and upkeep of vinyl.Maintains and / or oversees repair of community equipment; ensures equipment is functioning properly and staff are trained appropriately in its use.Prepares apartments for move-in and completes refurbishing of apartments after move-out, including painting of apartments.Observes problems, concerns, issues with resident apartments, the community and the grounds and communicates them appropriately.Coordinates with the local fire department for emergency procedures per state regulations / codes (i.e. fire drills).Maintains record of resident repairs and work performed.Conducts Physical Plant Orientation for new hires.Must be able to manage and mentor other maintenance personnel in the performance of maintenance and repair functions.
