The SBA Client Advisor is responsible for assisting with the interaction between the lender and customer, supporting them through the SBA process to ensure a timely closing and good customer experience. The SBA Client Advisor facilitates the front-end process from initial contact through closing.

Essential functions of the role:
Program Administration:
- Assist in process management of the Lending/Underwriting teams and Applicants regarding the daily process flow and closing coordination of SBA 7a and 504 Programs.
- Assist Lending/Underwriting teams and Applicants regarding the structuring, approval, closing, and servicing of all Government Guaranteed loan products, ensuring timely completion of loans approvals and closing timelines. May act as lead on smaller or less complex SBA transactions.
- Assist in preparing SBA loan memos in coordination with underwriting, lending, and applicants to ensure timely receipt of documentation and resolution of loan request.
- Act as liaison between the Credit team and Applicant regarding the collection of financial documentation as required.
- Support the interpretation of SBA Policies and Procedures, ensuring compliance with SBA rules for new and existing loans.
- Assist with the facilitation of requests for SBA loan servicing actions.
- Assist SBA Administrators with the facilitation and submission of SBA loan packages.
- Assist with the preparation of liquidation packages for submission to the SBA Servicing Center for delinquent accounts.
Process Administration:
- Adhere to and ensure compliance with standard operating procedures to ensure consistency of processes.
- Facilitate process and provide support to the SBA and lending teams regarding process flow from loan request initiation to closing.
- Assist with the preparation of SBA specific documentation requirements and compliance with all SBA operating/servicing procedures.
- Review current processes for efficiency and effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
Lending:
- Stay informed regarding changes in guaranteed lending standards and related legal requirements, including updates/changes to the SBA SOP and Servicing procedures.
- Communicate with Lending/Administrative staff regarding SBA products/process.
- In conjunction with the SBA Administrator(s), correspond with the SBA District Offices/Processing Centers, Naggl, and CDC’s withing the markets Emprise participates in. Maintain positive vendor relations as required for offering/implementation of SBA process and procedures.
- Support marketing and sales efforts of the bank which relate to available guaranteed loan products and services for present and prospective customers.
- Assist with SBA product training/marketing/awareness within the Lending team and COI contacts.
- Assist with contact and/or coordinate SBA referrals with the Lending team.
Leadership:
- Interface with and provide direction to customers and the SBA/Underwriting Teams regarding Government Guaranteed policies, procedures, and procedural updates.
- Ensure good vendor relationships.
- Assist in ongoing training for associates on applicable compliance regulations, technology, customer service standards and processes.
- Coordinate with lending staff as necessary for timely completion of loan origination, closing and servicing actions.
Other duties as assigned within the scope and responsibility of the job.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry related experience.
- Commercial Banking experience required or level of education that, together with industry experience, enables the applicant to meet the job requirements.
- Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software
