Operations Trainee
We are seeking a motivated and hands-on individual to join our team as an Assistant Operations Trainee. This role is perfect for someone with a solid background in a blue-collar environment who is ready to take the next step in their career.
Duties include assisting the depot manager in overseeing all daily operations, performing weighmaster functions on ferrous and nonferrous metals, and assisting with daily and monthly production reports. This career requires experience of providing high customer service, the ability to meet deadlines, and work independently and in a team environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Work is generally performed outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow and personal protective equipment is required. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required. You may be required to lift and carry light weights. Travel requires the ability to drive and the use of a personal vehicle.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Assists Depot Manager in overseeing daily operations and managing yard personnel.
- Responsible for helping monitor inventory levels and ensures proper stock levels are maintained.
- Performs weighmaster functions on ferrous and nonferrous scales as needed.
- Responsible for enforcing proper safety policies and procedures.
- Coordinates outgoing shipments as efficiently as possible.
- Performs minor maintenance inspections and ensures that pre-use checklists are completed daily.
- Provides exceptional level of customer service to all customers.
- Assists with completing daily and monthly reports for review by upper management.
- Other job duties as assigned.
- Basic Microsoft Office skills.
- Excellent communication both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma or GED-equivalent.
- At least one year of customer service experience.
- Previous leadership experience required.
