LA Testing is seeking a Laboratory Assistant in Huntington Beach, CA. This is support position for the laboratory manager and the analysts. It will oversee preparing, shipping, receiving, distributing, and logging in of samples.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Receiving/Handling Industrial Hygiene/Chemistry/Asbestos/Micro samples, review paperwork to ensure completeness, log-in samples as required
Placing samples in proper storage area for analysis
Maintain equipment inventory using EQ TRACKER
Maintain and fill Industrial Hygiene/Asbestos/TO-15 media / supply orders as directed
Including pump/ regulator calibration , Summa Can , regulator media orders Pack/Ship/Receive items and equipment via FEDEX, UPS, USPS, STARSHIP etc.
Utilize resources (including LIMS, iLAB, LabConnect, Maximizer, Email, Teams) to track work flow status, communications throughout the Laboratory
Assist with customer inquiries via phone and e-mail as assigned.
Clerical duties such as assisting with clients, scanning, filing, etc. as needed
Cross training in other areas to meet business needs may be a requirement for the position.
Candidate's schedule may be subject to change based on business demand.
Requirements:
High School degree/equivalent
One to two years of previous academic or commercial lab experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and with a team
Good communication, computer, typing, and organizational skills.
Proficient in MS Office especially EXCEL and typing
Excellent customer service skills customer service experience is a plus
Must be willing and able to stand for extended periods of time
Ability to work in a fast-paced setting, multi-task, and prioritize assignments
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
