What are the responsibilities and job description for the Summer Laboratory Intern position at EMSL?
EMSL is currently seeking a Part Time Summer Laboratory Intern for its Indianapolis, IN laboratory location. The role assists the laboratory with both administrative and sample preparation tasks.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Preparation of environmental samples
Assist with cleaning and maintenance of lab equipment
Assist with laboratory organization, supply inventory, calibrations, and cleaning and maintaining laboratory equipment
Cross train and/or assist in other departments as needed to meet business demands
Other responsibilities as deemed necessary by the manager
Requirements:
Pursing an Associates Degree or Bachelors in Life science or related field
Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship
Some laboratory experience either in academic or commercial setting is a plus
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability and a positive attitude
Effective time management, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Available Shift:
Monday to Friday 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
