**HYBRID POSITION** 2-3 days in office based on location**

Department: Diverse; PCAT – Permit Compliance and Accountability Tracker

Role Overview: The Environmental and Permitting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and permits. This position involves entering projects into the system, understanding environmental issues, constraints, and permits, and working on a variety of environmental and permitting projects.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conduct plan reviews.
• Perform record research.
• Draft and process various environmental and development-related plans and permits, including but not limited to erosion and sediment control plans, grading plans, site plans, stormwater management, construction phasing plans, utility plans, and road plans.
• Assist with compiling various technical reports and maintaining environmental permit compliance, including applying for permit modifications and renewals.
• Report to managers regarding various drafting, planning, and permitting work.
• Perform NPDES/Sediment Control inspections and construction monitoring as needed.
• Communicate with regulatory agencies at the discretion of managers.
  
  

Role Requirements

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to read and interpret PDFs.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to handle a fast-paced environment with a few hundred entries per week.
• Experience with diverse projects in the environmental field.
• Ability to read instruction plans and design prints initially.
  
  

Additional Skills And Attributes Of The Ideal Candidate

• Experience with Bluebeam and Adobe (preferred).
