Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled professional to contribute to the safe, reliable and efficient operations of pipeline facilities. If you have experience installing, maintaining, calibrating and repairing mechanical equipment used in pipeline terminals, pump stations and measurement facilities, we encourage you to apply.
The ideal candidate will possess electrical and mechanical expertise, including proficiency in performing inspections, maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs on high and low voltage electric systems, Programmable Logic (PLC) control systems, and communications equipment.
Responsibilities will include:
- Performing electrical and instrumentation tasks, such as verifying and calibrating pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, level transmitters, level switches, pressure switches, motor management relays, and PLC troubleshooting.
- Operating and maintaining pipeline, auxiliary equipment, motors, pump stations, pumps, seals and other related equipment.
- Conducting Preventive Maintenance checks on pumps, motors and auxiliary equipment.
- Assisting with mechanical repairs of valves, valve actuators, pump seals, and measurement equipment.
- Diagnosing and repairing mechanical motor parts, pumps, seals, valves and associated operations equipment at pump stations, terminals and pipelines.
- Installing and maintaining valve actuators.
- Aquiring operations skills, including but not limited to ticketing, determining crude oil gravity, water and sediment in crude samples, receiving and launching pipeline scraper tools, locally proving PD meters, inspecting facility valves, locally operating centrifugal pumps, operating pipeline facilities, inspecting storage Tanks, Facility rain water management.
- Overseeing construction and/or maintenance activities performed by third-party contractors.
- Maintaining general housekeeping and upkeep of all facilities and equipment as needed.
- Operating equipment such as tractors, skid steers, forklifts, UTVs, ATVs, water pumps, air compressors, test equipment, vehicles, etc.
Requirements:
- Meet DOT-mandated Operator Qualification standards through performance testing.
- Possess intermediate computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, operating systems and company software.
- Be willing to travel for training or to assist other operating areas.
- Be able and willing to work overtime when necessary and participate in an on-call rotation to respond to operational upsets after hours.
- Acquire emergency response skills, including HAZWOPER 40hr training, participating in tabletop drills, and boom deployments.
- Hold a degree or certificate in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a related field.
- Have a minimum of 4 years of direct relevant industry training and experience.
