The Senior Videographer / Photographer for enCircle works collaboratively to capture the organization’s video and still picture assets while making creative contributions to communication, marketing, and advocacy strategies. This position, which reports to the Vice President of Communications, is part of the External Relations team and works alongside this team and program staff to tell the story of enCircle’s mission and impact.

Interested applicants must provide a link to their video project portfolio to be considered. All work must be recorded / shot and edited by the applicant.

Minimum Education, Training, Requirements And Prerequisites

Bachelor’s degree in journalism, photography, videography, public relations, marketing or a related field with five or more years of proven and progressive experience in the field.
Outstanding videography and editing skills.
Knowledge of lighting in studio and external / on-location videography.
Excellent creativity and communication skills.
Ability to know and tell a good story.
Good judgment showcasing staff, people we support, board members, partners, etc.
Demonstrated people skills including the ability to work in a team environment and to work with diverse groups of people.
A strong commitment to social justice and the issues surrounding social services.
Proficiency working with Microsoft Office and Adobe Creative Suite.
Must have valid Virginia Driver’s License and satisfactory driving record per Driver Requirements Policy.
Ability to travel to site locations; ability to drive agency vehicle and access to a personal vehicle.
Ability to observe health and safety regulations.

Specific Duties And Responsibilities

Essential Functions : May be required to perform any of the following duties :

Develops, creates, records / shoots, edits communication and marketing congruent with enCircle’s mission, values, vision, and strategic direction for all programs.

Responsible for the creative development, location scouting, and production of video / photography marketing and communication projects.

Builds and sustains relationships with program leadership, the executive team, and works in collaboration with staff and volunteers to promote programs and services.

Assists communications team in standardizing all agency communications, including videos - internal / external, social media, informs staff and provides technical assistance on style guides and usage parameters when needed.

Collaborates with the Chief Strategy Officer, VP of Communications, Director of Advocacy, and the Philanthropy team on other activities that support, develop, and nurture relationships with constituencies of the agency.

A commitment to making a positive contribution to enCircle’s culture through the use of video and photography.

Edits and shoots videos for social media. Works closely with the Digital Content Manager to provide content.

Researches and provides information regarding new technology / equipment when necessary.

Responsible for managing and upkeep of equipment for board meetings, to include cameras, mics, projector, OWLS, etc., and attends quarterly board meetings to ensure smooth functioning of technology.

Other duties may be assigned.

M-F-weekends / evenings as needed.
