We are seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to support our Enterprise Technology and Tools (ETT) Team. This role involves technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, and analysis for total systems. The Linux Systems Administrator will be responsible for translating customer requirements into hardware and software specifications, ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of product requirements into comprehensive system solutions. Responsibilities : Perform technical planning, system integration, verification, and validation. Conduct functional analysis, timeline analysis, trade studies, and requirements allocation. Translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Support compliance execution, reporting, and vulnerability remediation activities. Manage and operate monitoring tools such as SolarWinds, BigFix, and ITSM tools (Footprints). Utilize Ansible Automation Platform to configure and manage Linux systems. Deploy and manage software packages using rpm, yum, dnf, and apt. Configure storage solutions including LVM, RAID, SAN, NAS, and NFS. Troubleshoot Linux systems including boot processes, system performance, and resource monitoring. Use Red Hat Satellite and Landscape for system support. Provide support for RHEL and Ubuntu workstations and servers. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide independent contributions. Communicate effectively through presentations, verbal, and written documentation. Required Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or relevant technical field. Active Secret Clearance or higher. 10 years of experience with network troubleshooting and configuration (packet captures, NIC latency tuning, route tables, subnetting, etc.). 10 years of experience supporting RHEL and Ubuntu workstations and servers. 7 years of experience utilizing Ansible Automation Platform for Linux systems. 7 years of experience with package development and deployment (rpm, yum, dnf, apt). 10 years of experience configuring storage solutions (LVM, RAID, SAN, NAS, NFS, encryption). 10 years of experience troubleshooting Linux systems, including boot processes and system performance. 5 years of experience with Red Hat Satellite. Proficiency in Bash, Python, or Perl scripting. Strong independent contribution and collaboration skills. Excellent customer service, presentation, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications : Experience supporting DevSecOps environments (Github, Jfrog, Jenkins, GitLab, Fortify, Docker, Kubernetes, SonarQube). Experience supporting software deployments on Linux systems. Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure. Interview Process : Initial Zoom interview with the hiring manager.
